lv_LV.* locale files for FreeBSD

Translation of two Latvian locales for FreeBSD (thanks to Edgars "emo"). Both can be used in theoretically any FreeBSD version, but for sure they are tested on FreeBSD 6.2 and 7.0.

In case if you require some original locales from FreeBSD - here they are for your disposal:

To use both locales in your FreeBSD it would be nice to do the following things (based on instructions from here which where written by Eriks Dobelis):

  1. Download latvian_locale_patch.tar.gz (mirrored here from Biti Ltd.) to your FreeBSD box
  2. cd /usr/share/locale
  3. mkdir lv_LV.UTF-8
  4. mkdir lv_LV.ISO8859-13
  5. cd /usr/src
  6. tar xvzf /path/where/file/is/located/latvian_locale_patch.tar.gz
  7. cd share
  8. make
  9. make install

For more information on FreeBSD localization - feel free to study the localization chapter from FreeBSD Handbook.
